Interested in working in finance, specifically in contributing to the AI journey at UBS, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?
We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2026 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Group Technology.
You’ll get to:
- work as a full stack developer for the core Model / AI Development Platform RiskLab AICE for various UBS business divisions
- contribute to DevOps processes and setup the optimal data science, ML and GenAI, code release CICD pipeline.
- work on industry leading Machine Learning and GenAI frameworks and in-house developed AI Model / AI development environment
- be a product champion on Microsoft Azure products such as Azure Databricks, Azure Kubernetes Services and Machine Learning and GenAI products
- have good communication skills and willing to interact with UBS data scientists and IT to understand and solve their business problems
Your team
You will be part of the UBS Risk AI CoE team (Center of Excellence)
The RiskLab AI CoE develops and maintain the offical Model/AI development platform for the entire UBS, serving all business divisions.
We implement common reusable foundational ML/AI platform for Model and AI development. With close collaboration with industry platform leaders such as Microsoft Azure and Databricks, We research emerging data science, ML and GenAI technology and draw up adaptation plan for our data scientist and IT audience, and setup regular training sessions or pilot model development to ensure UBS remains competitive and ahead of our peers.
Your expertise
We’re looking for a candidate who:
- has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor’s degree and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor’s or master’s degree) in Information Technology or Computer Science
- has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
- is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
- is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
- has passion for programming and is a problem solver
- has good understanding of object oriented programming, functional programming paradigm and sound knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- has excellent understanding of and hands-on experience in full-stack development
- is proficient in Python programming and good GUI development framework such as React and have good understanding of both OO and functional programming paradigm
- has experience with TypeScript and exposure to Machine Learning, MLOps and Generative AI framework such as MLFlow and LangChain ((is considered an advantage)
- has exposure to some container technologies such as Containers, Kubernetes, versioning technology such as GitLab, and build pipelines
Start date: 1 February 2026 or by agreement
Length: 12 months.

This paid internship will last 12-months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You’ll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.

If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you’ve completed your studies.
