Aufgabe

Decathlon Switzerland is growing fast—projecting 50+ stores and ~500M€ GMV by the end of 2026. To support this massive scale, our HR team needs cutting-edge tools to track and develop our talent

Reporting directly to Raphaëlle, our Learning & Development Leader, you will build a brand-new, AI-powered interface designed to track retail leader performance (skill validation, KPI status, and development plans).

Your goal is to deliver a ready-to-use prototype within 3 months, utilizing the third month for testing, feedback loops, and deployment. You will collaborate closely with both the HR team and our Data Department to seamlessly integrate all necessary data streams.

Autonomy and impact (The reality of this job) As our tech intern within the HR team, you will have a massive playground. We will provide you with the business guidelines and the final vision, but then it is completely up to you to DO it. The HR team does not have the technical skills to code this for you; you will be our absolute tech expert on this project. This is a unique opportunity to create, test, and deliver a highly concrete product in a fast-paced and informal environment!

Profil

You are autonomous, proactive, and possess strong analytical skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Background:

  • Student in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Digital Product, or equivalent.
  • Comfortable working autonomously on a prototype, while asking questions early when something is unclear.
  • Curious, pragmatic and able to translate business needs into simple technical solutions.
  • Interested in AI, HR topics, product building and user experience.
  • Not afraid to reach out to other teams to clarify data, tools, access or process questions.

Desired Technical Skills:

Must-have

  • Python or JavaScript for data manipulation and simple automation.
  • Basic SQL and ability to understand structured datasets.
  • Basic API understanding: how to read documentation and connect to a tool.
  • Ability to build a simple front-end or low-code interface, ideally React, Streamlit, Retool, Power Apps, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of AI / LLM APIs and how to integrate them safely in a prototype.
  • Git or equivalent version-control basics. Nice-to-have

  • Advanced back-end architecture or production-grade DevOps.
  • Experience with enterprise HR systems.
  • Strong UX/UI portfolio.
  • Experience with vector databases, RAG or advanced AI orchestration.
  • Cloud deployment experience.

Language Skills:

  • English: C1 level required.
  • French or German: A strong asset.

Location: Lausanne or Spreitenbach or Geneva ,with possible travels to those cities
