R&D Designer – GPS High Voltage Interrupters 80 – 100% (f/m/d)
Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products is renowned worldwide as a specialist in components for power transmission and power distribution. Within the area of High Voltage Products, the Technology Center Switzerland is responsible - as part of a global development organization - for the development and optimization of products like Gas Insulated Switchgear, Generator Circuit Breakers, Surge Arresters, High Voltage Interrupter Chambers, Insulation Components as well as Control and Monitoring solutions.
For our Business Unit High Voltage Products in Zurich-Oerlikon, we are looking for an R&D Designer to strengthen our GPS Team for High Voltage Interrupters.
In this role, you will be contributing to design and product development activities in our CAD/PLM landscape for ongoing R&D. Within this setting you will need to implement innovative by working together with engineers and other designers across our global organization and be responsible for 3D/2D model data for the assigned projects to enhance our virtual product development for serial production.

Your responsibilities
- Facilitate data transfer and eensure smooth transition of 3D/2D CAD and PLM information from R&D to GPS
- Guarantee well-organized data management in the PLM system
- Manage master data sets, validate and clean existing data, create new sets for new products
- Work with GPS engineers to create, modify, and analyse designs for switching devices
- Collaborate with GPS, supply chain, and R&D for seamless handover
Your background
- Successfully completed apprenticeship as Konstrukteur/in EFZ
- Excellent know-how in CAD/PLM systems, ideally PTC CREO and PTC Windchill
- High expectations on quality of work in all regards
- Independent, proactive and goal-oriented personality
- Practically oriented and hands-on way of working
- Team-player, committed, willing to learn
- Good command of German both written and spoken
