Your team
The Compliance & Risk Assistant will act as assistant to the Compliance Officer and Non-Financial Risk Manager and will fulfil an administrative and support role within the CRO division. In general, CRO Guernsey has responsibility for the management of regulatory, reputational and operational risk by ensuring compliance with internal standards and external laws and regulations.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Provide support and administrative assistance to the Compliance Officer and Non-Financial Risk Manager, Guernsey, with responsibilities including:

  • Support in the review of the Branch Regulatory Obligations Register
  • Oversee the collation of Financial Adviser Declarations proposing improvements to the existing process and drafting robust supporting guidance
  • Assist Compliance staff with any ongoing actions relating to compliance frameworks
  • The creation of Controls templates for use by control owners across the Guernsey Branch
  • Participation in Baer GRC system data cleansing exercise prior to migration to the SNOW system
  • To support the Non-Financial Risk Manager in Horizon Risk Scanning assessments
  • Support the Risk Working Group in any agreed actions or initiatives
  • Support in the delivery of the 2026 CRO Team Charter
  • To proactively support other areas of the CRO function as may be required

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor student from 2nd year onwards, studying a subject that is relevant to financial services
  • An analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to communicate to individuals at all levels
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, in particular Excel
  • Passion for wealth management and a desire to create value beyond wealth
  • A global mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong appetite for learning
  • Fluency in English
  • Registered in the country of application with a valid work permit
