Internship in Data-Driven Design for Traction Transformers 80 – 100% (f/m/d) Nouveau

The opportunity

Join our TT Platform development team in Satigny, Geneva, Switzerland. You’ll work in an agile, international environment with experts in transformer design. Your work will help improve our design tools and processes through data-driven innovation. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team and gain valuable experience in a dynamic setting. The internship lasts between 6 and 8 months.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Help configure and manage a data platform using Azure Databricks
  • Develop processes to collect, clean, and structure transformer design data to make it usable for analysis and modelling
  • Use data to build and test machine learning models
  • Contribute to internal design software development and enhancement
  • Write clear documentation for tools, processes, and algorithms
  • Collaborate with international teams and local departments
  • Deliver tailored solutions for mechanical, electrical, and sales teams
  • Support improvements in design and production through data insights

Your background

  • Studying Software Engineering, IT, or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with Azure Databricks and have strong programming skills
  • Knowledge of data preparation and machine learning techniques
  • Programming skills in Python, Matlab, or VBA
  • Basic understanding of transformer design
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
