The opportunity

Hitachi Energy High Voltage Service supports customers worldwide with after-sales services for generator circuit breakers and gas-insulated switchgear (GIS). The team works closely with customers globally on installation, commissioning, maintenance, retrofitting and modernization. In this role, you will be closely involved with the product and work on construction sites around the world. You will take on responsibility, contribute your own ideas and gain valuable international experience through extended assignments abroad. Continuous learning, teamwork and professional development are an integral part of your daily work.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Commission and test GIS systems in close cooperation with customer representatives
  • Verify correct system functionality according to specifications and scope of supply
  • Identify deviations and initiate corrective actions with project stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and procedures at all times
  • Apply and monitor environmental protection measures on site
  • Participate in site meetings with relevant stakeholders

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanics, or a related field
  • Initial experience in commissioning and/or control system engineering
  • Fluent German and English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently under challenging site conditions
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 90% of working time
