About the role:We’re looking for a proactive, strategic Media Planner who will lead media efforts on our key projects. You’ll be the channel expert, handling full media planning across multiple touchpoints and managing a media budget. You’ll work on everything from traditional media (press, radio, TV, print) to digital media, ensuring Decathlon’s campaigns reach the right audience with maximum impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Media strategy development: Design and implement media strategies that align with Decathlon’s goals, driving awareness and engagement.
  • Media buying & channel management: Oversee the selection, negotiation, and booking of media space across all channels (TV, radio, print, digital).
  • Campaign execution & optimization: Coordinate campaign launches, monitor performance, and adjust investments to optimize ROI and meet KPIs.
  • Budget allocation: Manage and allocate the media budget, ensuring effective distribution across channels to maximize reach and impact.
  • Performance analysis: Track, analyze, and report on campaign metrics for each channel.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with communication, digital and retail teams to ensure a cohesive 360° marketing approach.

Profil

What we’re looking for:

  • Languages: Fluent in English and German (C1 level) with proficient French.
  • Swiss media knowledge: Strong familiarity with the Swiss media landscape, including contacts within traditional and digital media.
  • Standard media planner skills: Experience of at least 3 years in media planning, buying, booking, and reporting.
  • Autonomy and initiative: Self-driven and comfortable working independently, with “a knack” for problem-solving and taking ownership of your projects.

Additional details:

  • Location : Bussigny, Zurich or Geneva (the majority of the team is based in Bussigny.. but we are very flexible on this point. It’s up to you to choose the office closest to you).
  • Full-time position, 100%

  • Permanent contract

  • Start date: January 2025
