Your role

Do you have a knack for analyzing IT business processes? Do you want to work on a system that empowers our business users and is key to meeting our Firm-Wide regulatory commitments?
We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • determine required IT business solutions and assist in implementing them
  • support the business engineer by describing the business processes, including the organizational structures involved
  • setup strategic data feeds between systems
  • coordinate infrastructure teams on the creation and setup of new core components
  • create, build and deploy scripts to streamline delivery
  • develop new platform components (or change existing ones) to support the calculations

Your team

You’ll be working in the Firm-Wide Risk team in Zurich. We support the business in calculating and reporting regulatory-significant consequential risk metrics across the full Firm-Wide portfolio.

Your experience and skills

You need have completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree. In particular, you have:

  • desirable knowledge in some of the following technical areas: Oracle PL/SQL, programming in R, Perl, Java and/or Python, Unix shell scripting (bash, ksh, csh), job control systems (JCS, autosys) and source control systems (svn or git)
  • desirable knowledge in some of the following statistical analysis packages: R (S-PLUS), Matlab, SAS, Stata
  • good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
  • ability to deep-dive into the technical and business detail of existing platforms to understand their usage and then evaluate and document relevant improvements and recommendations
  • an understanding of the software development lifecycle
