Your role

Are you independent and self-driven? Do you have sharp analytic skills? We’re looking for someone like that to join our team to:

  • learn about a job of a Credit Officer in a dynamic Global Wealth Management division,
  • learn how to perform due diligence on all relevant risk categories such as counterparty risks, collateral and exposure risks, concentration and liquidity risks, legal & compliance risks to formulate a holistic risk assessment as basis for credit decision
  • further on work on recommending approvals of credit transaction or contribute to written credit memos for senior management decision while upholding our risk principles and standards
  • proactively review risks in the assigned portfolio, take adequate risk mitigating measures as warranted
  • review lending and trading documentation so that transaction risks are identified and appropriately covered
  • possibly lead / actively contribute in various change projects and initiatives to enhance and strengthen firm’s service offerings to clients and risk control standards

Graduate Talent Program
Our Graduate Talent Program (GTP) lasts 18 months. You’ll be directly involved in day-to-day operations, working with professionals and gaining first-hand experience of our business.

As well as on-the-job learning, you’ll get training on the financial markets, our products and other core business topics. Rotational assignments are a key part of the program. By taking on other roles in related departments, you’ll gain a wider perspective.

Besides all that, you’ll attend networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions where you’ll get to know us.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Credit Risk Control team in Zurich within the Global Wealth Management division. The team covers Lombard Products and Aircraft Finance for wealthy UBS clients. We are a team of 9 people with very diverse backgrounds and personalities. The environment we work in is challenging and dynamic, no two days are the same. Team spirit is important for us.

Your expertise

You need have completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree.

In particular, you have:

  • an interest in financial markets, numbers and financial products
  • a passion for learning and further expand your know-how
  • an interest in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of a team
  • the ability stay on track, even when dealing with tight deadlines
  • sharp analytical and problem solving skills
  • good communication and interpersonal skills

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.

Start date: by agreement, preferred 1st July 2021
