The opportunity
EY’s Transactions Corporate Finance (TCF) department is a unique nexus between the corporate finance and the M&A transactions landscape, with a focus on Transaction Diligence, Valuation, Modeling & Economics and mid-size M&A Advisory. As a member of one of the leading mid-market M&A teams in Switzerland, Europe, and globally, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile sell- and buy-side M&A transactions with corporate clients, entrepreneurs, and financial sponsors. During this exceptional opportunity, you will gain hands on experience on various projects with a steep learning curve.
Your key responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of M&A transactions from pitch to close;
- In-depth industry and company analyses;
- Preparation of potential buyer and target lists;
- Company valuations using market and comparable transaction multiples and the DCF method;
- Preparation of transaction documents such as information memorandum, teaser, management presentation;
- Support in the due diligence process;
- Sharpen your technical skills in areas such as accounting, business valuations and financial modeling;
- Support on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that tight deadlines are met.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Advanced stages of Bachelor’s degree (minimum 4 semesters) or Master’s degree with excellent academic track record in business administration, finance, economics, etc.;
- First experience in relevant fields, ideally in M&A (M&A boutique, investment banking, Big Four) or in private equity, investment management, transaction diligence, etc.;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German. Additional fluency in French advantageous;
- Proficiency in Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Exceptional analytical abilities and strong organizational skills;
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
