Your key responsibilities

In our Assurance Services, we strengthen society’s trust in global capital markets in various areas and foster sustainable growth. Our experts in the Climate change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team engage in various projects on ESG assurance as well as advisory engagements. The topics range from sustainability reporting and assurance to integrated reporting, sustainability management advisory and the integration of sustainability aspects into business strategies and processes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working in a team environment to assist clients in developing and providing assurance on sustainability strategies, decarbonization measures, and sustainability reports
• Generating project leads and sales of new client projects
• Developing and implementing tailored solutions and concepts for our clients
• Supporting go-to-market activities by developing and implementing thought leadership/studies, building and maintaining customer relationships, business development, and account management leadership as well as preparing trainings
• Maintaining cooperative relationships with other sustainability teams within EY
• Monitoring the engagement team’s progress against the plan and alter it when needed

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

• 5 to 10 years of professional experience in sustainability consulting, sustainability reporting and assurance, or in a comparable position
• Master’s degree in business, accounting, sustainability, environmental science, environmental economics, or similar field
• Excellent project management and team leadership skills applied in diverse circumstances with various sets of stakeholders, as well as experience generating project leads
• Passion for helping businesses and other clients become more sustainable
• Profound knowledge of sustainable products, services, and business models
• In-depth understanding and experience advising on sustainability and the development of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, management systems and reporting approaches, as well as assurance on environmental management systems and sustainability reports would be assets
• Character of a self-starter who takes ownership for tasks and team performance, and proactively seeks out ways to better address our clients’ needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German and French is a plus
